Alert Condition: YELLOW

Lego's TOS bridge set includes some neat easter eggs, including your choice of alert condition lights for the top centre of the astrogation station, represented as a cheese wedge brick in translucent clear, yellow, or red. I've used the yellow brick here and added a light glow with Photoshop to indicate that Kirk has taken the ship to yellow alert for some reason. Poor Chekov and McCoy look alarmed, while Scotty seems concerned, too. Get down to engineering if you're that worried, Scotty!

Where No Bricks Have Gone Before

For the very first time, I have a tiny representation of the bridge of the USS Enterprise in my office.

Building Lego's 1701 bridge took about six hours. It flew by at warp speed! A very fun, satisfying build.

Naturally, the set came with 1,701 pieces.

I really hope they'll release a Galileo shuttlecraft at minifigure scale. And we need more crew!
