The obvious question is why the Hawkmen would have any need for a rocket cycle. Maybe it's for carrying groceries.
But the lesser obvious question is why the Hawkmen would use a tilting disc with spikes as their duelling stage. The moment the disc tilts or grows spikes, the duelling Hawkmen would just fly off of it to safety.

By coincidence, we just watched the movie tonight. We looked at each other. "We should have had that made into a banner for our wedding!"
