You come across some pretty mystifying images when you scan hundreds of slides dating back to the 1960s. This image, dated 1971, seems to be set somewhere on the Etsell farm; I remember the coffee table very clearly.
The arrangements are very nice, but why would my grandparents set them out in the middle of the field? Why are they gazing at them with such import?
